Th Unknown

Uknown This picture I took at Arenal about 4 months ago, when I was there with my aunts and uncles. We saw something in the trees that we thought was a sloth at first, but it didn’t move. You may be thinking, okay, sloth’s don’t move, buddy, well this sloth was swinging in a tree at least ten feet back and forth. So then we were like okay, maybe its like one of those weird hairy beehives you sometimes see. We decided against that when we saw how much hair it really had. It went back and forth like that for a while with a few other things thrown in there by my aunt, now she thinks she knows things, but she doesn’t so we kind of just kept those at the back of our minds, because there always is a possibility she’s right.  I chose this picture because, well, to me it represents the unknown, the things out there in this world we know “so much” about and the things on the outside, in outer space. Creepy, huh. I don’t know why it hit me this hard really, when I was thinking of what photo to use in this essay I was thinking of taking one of the inside of a lens cap, to represent nothing, because I don’t get the camera very often and when I do I take pictures of everything, not anything interesting, ANYTHING, I have taken at least fifty of my foot, which is one of the grossest feet I have ever seen. Whoa, I’ve gotten off subject like 20 times. Anyway, then I thought of this picture and I was just like, YES! This will work. The unknown is scary yet interesting, kind of like trying a new food for the first time, you’re intrigued by the tastes, but you’re also scared that the next bight will make you puke.
